Voters in the Lyons Central School District approved the $55 million Capital Improvement Project proposition – 522 yes votes to 212 no votes – on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. Improvements include state-of-the-art security upgrades, modernized classrooms, cutting-edge technology, and space for new, innovative programming. All buildings district-wide will receive renovations.
For the first time in 60 years, Lyons Central School District once again is home to a FFA chapter. In May, the Lyons FFA chapter celebrated with its annual Banquet, held at the MS/HS on Wednesday, May 31. Mr. Brennan Dailey, Agriculture and Technology Teacher at Lyons MS/HS, serves as the chapter’s adviser and helped students revive the club during the 2022-23 school year.
The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) is set to begin at Lyons CSD on July 10th. LCSD's participation in the program means that meals will be provided to all children 18 years and under without charge. The SFSP at LCSD will run from Monday, July 10th to Friday, August 11th.
WFL BOCES is offering field trips this summer. Parents, guardians, and school staff are always welcome to join with a student to support them and learn along with them.
