The district engaged a team from the University of Rochester Warner School of Education to assist us with creating our strategic plan. A significant amount of feedback and input was received from forums held with a variety of stakeholder groups such as professional staff, support staff, administrators, members of the Board of Education, community members, and students. Researchers asked participants to think about the top 3 to 5 strengths and top 3 to 5 weaknesses. The groups of stakeholders were asked to respond to given statements with a rank or rating from 1 to 5. We reviewed the results and our perceived lack of a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) process was identified as a weakness. Another area defined as a weakness was in the area of curriculum and instruction. We plan on using funds from our anticipated additional foundation aid from New York to staff an Instructional and curriculum team and improve our MTSS process.
